Love Letter To The FTF Community + New Featured Writers!

Whether you’re new here or you’ve been reading since my first blog post in October 2013…I want you to know how much I love and appreciate you.

Cheesy, yes. But the truth.

The Freelance To Freedom Project has been my baby. My side-project, my passion.

I knew the day I started my own entrepreneurial journey that I’d want to do more than just web design.

I wanted to share what I was doing along the way to start and grow a freelance business.

The ups and downs.
The strategies.
The mistakes and big wins.

Because from day one I knew that the road I was taking, was going to be the key to a truly freedom-filled life that I just wouldn’t have working for someone else.

And I wanted others to walk down that road with me. (selfish maybe?)

The blog grew. The community grew. The Facebook group grew.

It’s because of you.

I’m grateful to you because you show up. You make this project possible.

You comment, share, give advice and support each other.

You put yourself out there (which shows others what’s possible if they do the same).

You let yourself be vulnerable (by sharing your fears and struggles, others can see they aren’t alone).

You spread your expertise and talents (because others in the community need your knowledge in their brains).

This community is you.

Although I started it, I never wanted it to be about just me. I wanted it to be about us.

A group of people courageous enough to step outside comfort zones, and build a business and a life of freedom.

But up until now, the FTF blog has been mostly about me.

My stories, my advice, my strategies.

And I’ve realized I’ve been short-changing the FTF community on this blog.

Because I am definitely not an expert at everything.

And you need advice about all the things.

So it’s time to spice things up.

And getting helpful tips, tricks and lessons from other experts and community members is exactly how I want to spice things up.

Over the next 3 months, you’ll be seeing A LOT more helpful content on the FTF blog, thanks to our new Featured Writers that I’ve teamed up to help you where you need it most.

Introducing, this quarter’s Feature Writers!

Freelance To Freedom Project: Featured Writers

These featured writers will be contributing over the next 3 months, so you’ll get their wisdom more than once.

  • I love it Leah! You are always putting out awesome content, FTF is the first site I recommend for people who want to ditch the 9 to 5, and really get the MINDSET going!

  • This is exciting, Leah! This community was the first one I found when I went freelance over a year ago and continues to be an ongoing inspiration. Thanks for putting in the time and attention it takes to grow something real where we cam all connect and get great advice! Looking forward to the new featured writers!

  • Super exciting! Massive congratulations ❤️

  • I love what you are doing and find it to be a source of courage and inspiration!

  • Great news! I’m looking forward to these fresh new perspectives on the blog 🙂
(although to be honest I’ve been following a few of the featured writers for a while, so I know what’s coming will be good)

  • This is so exciting! I recognize two of those faces and they are among my very favorites, so I can’t wait to learn more about the others. Great idea, Leah and I can’t wait to see where it brings you and Freelance to Freedom overall! 🙂

  • Leah,
I’m so happy to see how the community has grown. I will never forget your generosity at the begining when you shared a bit of your work flow. Right now I’m focusing more on creating art and illustration than web design though I juggle both. I’m looking forward to all the cool content from guest writers.

  • Dear Leah,

I’m so happy to have come on board the FTF as well as Stress Less and Impress Community. It gave me until now already such a push in a short time!

There are awesome great folks around, with whom I can exchange no matter what subject this might be as a freelancer or just a human being 😉

It’s a great job you have done (y) especially when doing this while you yourself had to grow being a “fresh” freelancer, my biggest respect!

Also a big Thank YOU to the commits by so many in this comunity, given in the FB groups.

I’m really grateful as well as curious what there will be in the future with the additional writers in the “team”.

Let’s jump into more adventure 😉
    with love from Germany

  • I’m so excited about this direction, and very impressed with everything you’ve accomplished, Leah. Can’t wait to read posts from the super-team.
